Super Reef Octopus External Protein Skimmers

The Super Reef Octopus SRO EXT external recirculating protein skimmers combines many great features into one package to create one of the best skimmers you can buy for the money. All Super Reef Octopus protein skimmers including the EXT line are powered by the Bubble Blaster series pumps. While most skimmer pumps are modified water pumps, the Bubble Blaster pumps were designed from the ground up as a skimmer pump first. These 3 year warranted pumps are quiet running while having extremely high air pull and utilizing low wattage. This along with a internal bubble plate and an elongated cone neck increase contact time and lower turbulence which increase the amount of organics the Super Reef Octopus SRO protein skimmers can pull. External skimmers also give the hobbyist increased control in the skimmer operation as they allow the water flow thru to be regulated by choice of feed pump. Other features of the Super Reef Octopus external recirculating protein skimmers are oversized air silencer for increased noise reduction, gate valve on the outlet for easy adjustment, and a drain on the collection cup.
