When you order live rock from Salty Critter your liverock will be selected, boxed, and shipped to you by us.
We do not drop ship rock, so you will not get rock that has been sitting in a warehouse drying out, waiting for an order to be filled. We get our live rock right from the source, as fresh as possible and when we get it it goes
straight in our bins fully submerged. By us hand selecting the rock and reboxing all that comes in that gets shipped out this minimizes the chances and amount of rubble rock and waste that you receive.
Please note that all uncured rock must be preordered be it if shipped to you or if for store pickup. Average lead time is about 5-10 days from the time of placing the order till the time of shipping, depending on factors such as day of order and rock availability. On occasion certain types of rock may not be available on a given week, due to factors such as weather and ocean conditions so this may add to ship time slightly.

Option
1: Airport to Airport
Usually the cheapest and best way to ship live rock. You
pay shipping cost
when live rock is picked up at airport cargo area. Cost
is approximately .75-1.20
cents per pound on average. Keep in mind the airline may charge for
the first 100
pounds regardless of weight. After that, price is per pound.
Option
2: Fed Ex or UPS
Ground service may be appropriate for customers in or close
to Ohio
where delivery occurs within one day. We recommend all others
choose
next day service, however weather permitting 2 day service
is a viable
option or again ground if within two day service range.
